Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026

Golden Harvest Food Bank awarded $250,000 in grant funding to 23 hunger relief partners across Georgia and South Carolina during its 2026 Network Investment Program Awards Ceremony, held Tuesday morning at the organization's Augusta Campus.

Made possible through the Food Forever Fund endowment, the Network Investment Program provides direct investments into local organizations working on the front lines of hunger relief throughout Golden Harvest's 24-county service area. Grants support projects aimed at increasing food access, strengthening infrastructure, expanding capacity, and improving long-term sustainability for hunger relief efforts in local communities.

Launched in 2024, the Network Investment Program reflects Golden Harvest's commitment to building a stronger, more resilient hunger relief network across the region.

"Every day, our hunger relief partners are walking alongside neighbors facing difficult circumstances and helping ensure families, children, seniors, and individuals can access the food and support they need," said Amy Breitmann, President and CEO of Golden Harvest Food Bank. "These grants are an investment in the strength of our network and in the communities we serve together. We are deeply grateful to the donors whose generosity through the Food Forever Fund makes this possible."

Golden Harvest Food Bank serves a 24-county service area across Georgia and South Carolina and supports a network of more than 325 hunger relief partners. Through programs like the Network Investment Program, Golden Harvest works to strengthen local food access and build long-term solutions to hunger at the community level.
