North Augusta Chamber to Celebrate Grand Opening of New North Augusta Family YMCA with Community Block Party

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, June 4th, 2026

The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce invites Chamber members, local officials, and the community to attend the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting celebration for the new North Augusta Family YMCA on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The celebration will feature a free Y Community Block Party at the new YMCA facility located on East Martintown Road in North Augusta. This family-friendly event will include live performances, a Kids Zone with YMCA inflatable games, community partner booths, facility tours, class demonstrations, local food trucks, and a celebrity pickleball tournament featuring local media personalities, community leaders, and public safety officials.

The YMCA has long served as a cornerstone organization dedicated to strengthening communities through programs focused on healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. The opening of the new North Augusta facility represents a major investment in the future wellness and connectivity of the community.

“Facilities like the YMCA create opportunities for connection, wellness, and long-term community growth that extend far beyond the walls of the building itself,” said Tom F. Allgood, III, Director of Programs & Member Engagement for the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce. “This event is a celebration not only of a new facility, but of the partnerships and community spirit that continue to make North Augusta thrive.”
